When Anna decided to pursue a career in cosmetology, her goal was simple but meaningful: to help people understand their hair and love it the way it was made.
Like many students, she had doubts before starting beauty school. She wondered if she would be good enough and if she would make it through the program. Despite those fears, she chose Christina & Company Education Center because the program felt like the right fit and it was close to home.
Once she started school, Anna quickly realized she had made the right decision.
One thing that surprised her most was how many opportunities Christina & Company provided to connect with salons and professionals in the beauty industry. Through experiences like Student Council and specialized braiding classes, she built confidence, developed lifelong friendships, and prepared for her future career.
One person who made a lasting impact on Anna's journey was Lead Instructor Mrs. Isela, whose encouragement and guidance helped shape the stylist she is today. Along with the support of her family and her faith, Anna found the confidence to pursue her calling.
Today, Anna is a Hairstylist and Curl Specialist at Silky Sources Salon & Hairspa & Co. She secured her position just one month after graduating and has already achieved several exciting milestones, including becoming a Level 1 Stylist, helping train new associates, and building a loyal clientele through strong pre-booking.
Her favorite part of the job?
"Great fellowship and using my uniqueness to make people love themselves."
Anna specializes in curly cuts, combining technical skill with a passion for helping clients embrace their natural texture and beauty. Through her career, she's discovered something she never expected—the incredible relationships and community connections that come with being a hairstylist.
Looking back, Anna's advice to future students is simple:
"Don't overthink it. Remember your motives. Love what you do and take that full send."
